Pneumocystis Pneumonia — Los Angeles.
So here is the first report of the disease that has come to be know as HIV/AIDS. June 5, 1981. Five cases of Pneumocystis Carinii Pneumonia (PCP). It does not indicate the ethnicity of any of the patients nor does it list the sexual preference. 30 years of HIV/AIDS and what has changed? The epidemic, the population infected, funding, treatment options and the mortality.
But has the stigma changed?
Not really. Hopefully someday it will.
The epidemic is not over!
Get tested!
Get educated!
Stop the disease.
