Reports: Miami ‘zombie’ attacker may have been using ‘bath salts’ – This Just In – CNN.com Blogs.

This has been one of the most bizarre stories I have followed. This whole idea of zombies is crazy. However, the effects of drugs is not crazy. As a therapist and substance abuse counselor, the effects of the ‘bath salts’ should more than scare the entire country.

Teens and young adults are experimenting with synthetic drugs and do not realize the long term effects of their use. The ‘instant gratification’ of the immediate high is not worth the price that will be paid down the road.

If this guy was on ‘bath salts’ and did this behavior while high, I wonder, was his high really worth his death and the negative fame he has received? Not in my opinion.
